Coin Strike: a week with the flick-and-collect arcade hit

July 24, 2026 · Markus Vogel

I didn't expect much from Coin Strike. The idea — flick a coin, land it on glowing tiles — sounds like something you've played a hundred times. But after a week of carrying it around in my pocket, it earned a permanent spot on my first home screen.

The magic is in the physics. A gentle swipe nudges a coin a few centimetres; a confident flick sends it clattering across the board, knocking other pieces into place. You quickly learn to bank shots off walls and to set up two-coin combos, and that moment when a level clicks into focus is genuinely satisfying.

It's completely offline, which is the whole reason it's on this site. I played it through a dead-signal train tunnel and on a flight, and it never once asked for a connection or threw an ad-wall in my face at a bad moment. Levels are short, so you can clear one while the microwave counts down.

My one tip: use the undo button without shame. Early on I'd rage at a bad flick and restart the whole level; later I realised a single undo saves the run and keeps the flow going. Coin Strike is small and unpretentious, and that's exactly why it works.
